I have been trapped into specifying some tray cable for a customer. I just normally do not do this and have no clue what brands might be cheaper, and/or what options might cost less or be more useful. Customer has asked about Belden, but I don't want to suggest something that is insanely expensive compared to a more cost effective alternative.

It can be 2C #18, some will need to be shielded. As I understand it they are planning to run it in actual real cable tray.

I was thinking 27325A looks safe, as far as not being anything special, so unlikely to be unusually pricey. It appears the same cable number with an "S" suffix is shielded.

I gave them the belden PN and the PN for the 3C version of it for circuits that need an EGC.

I fully expect that their idea of cable tray will actually be wire duct, so I specifically told them LISTED cable tray and LISTED TC.
