240 Volt lightning or surge sprotector

I am looking for a 240V protector to use for a 240V well pump. All the surge and lightning protectors I have found need a neutral. There is a 10/2UF going to the well house. I wanted to put protection out at the well house as well as at the home. I really don't want to tie the neutral of the protector to the egc. Anyone know of something out there for this purpose.

PSP products has a point of use arrestor for well pumps. We have use PSP products for meter base mounted protection before. Not sure about the neutral. Looks like it would have to go to the EGC per 285.27...(2011)

I can only think it means that the only time a neutral and a EGC are allowed to be connected together (other than point of delivery) is when the arrestor is actually clamping a surge. (inside the unit, not connecting green and white together) Ours over 1K volts go straight to ground, not neutral. The neutral is connected, but as a tap to the grounding conductor.

On a 120 volt unit, the neutral would be a CCC, so the surge would have to go to the grounding conductor.

I read and learn from many of your posts, you make me nervous when you ask me a question...
