If the work has already been installed, no.
It was supervised.

If the c/o has only been proposed, and they want to do it another way,
then basically you are starting over with a new c/o proposal.

What if work was removed from the CD's that has not been installed yet?
 
It kind of depends on how much they scrutinize your c/o.
This usually spelled out in the specs.
Early in the job, you're kind of testing them on how picky they are or how firm they are to the specs.
On a deduct c/o, I usually don't give back supervision, or profit.
I usually hide all the dollars I can in the hours or material credit.
Your supervision will run from the beginning of the job till the end. On big jobs,
a supervisor will be there the whole time, your original estimate will never have enough.
When you have add c/o's throughout the job, add as much supervision as you can get away with.

10% supervision is standard.
But if you withold the supervision for credit you have be able to justify it....like anything else. How do you go about that? Thanks

10% of productive labor hrs is a good rule of thumb.

A supervisor will be on that job even if that c/o is not performed.
Remember, you're supervisor labor was in the original estimate based on the overall duration of the job.
Taking that scope out does not change that. Adding scope does.
