From my buddy at UL: GFCIs can be tested for 10kA SCCR if the manufacturer wants. No SCCR rating for standard receptacles.

there probably are some industrial control panels where it might matter, such as cases where a receptacle is provided for a motor to be plugged in. not that rare of a situation.

Why wouldn't it be important for any plug that is put in and out of a receptacle? A catestrophic failure would be bad news.

I think a plug is roughly similar to a connector. connectors and conductors are not required to have SCCR ratings. I think only devices that can switch power can even have a rating at all.

No, fault current switching devices would have an AIC rating.
Static devices such as Automatic Transfer switches, Variable Frequency Drives, bus bar assemblies, power distribution blocks, and control panels, all have an SCCR.
