I don't know how many of those I have specified over the years and don't ever recall that being brought up..It's a good question tho.It's funny how one takes so much in TEXT for granted.

I just happened to have a catalog with them in it and it appears this may be the answer.

CGB,,,, straight body
CGD,,,, 45 degree body
CGE,,,, 90 degree body
CGFP,,,,Wet Locations

I don't know what happened to A & C


The catalog I am looking at is a Cooper Crouse-Hinds Product Catalog 7000 Edition ,2006

Thats ineresting,I always thought CG? referred to Crouse Products,evidently not.The ref you gave Dennis is noted for ALUMINUM and not style,I looked a few pages into their cat and found some straight CG's that were also listed by CGA but they were straight bodied. I wonder what Appleton cord grip cat numbers look like?

I just looked up Appelton and their's are listed CG-xxxxxxx confusing industry we live in ,smile
