I just purchased a new building that was previously seperated into 3 suites, and has 3 meters. So I assume that means I will get tripled up on service fees on our electric bill. We are converting it back to a single unit, there will no longer be 3 suites. So is it worth adding a CT can and converting over to one meter?

If each of the 3 meters has a monthly service charge then one would be better for the guy paying the bill. The question is if you had to pay someone to reconfigure this with only one meter how long would it take to recoup those costs?

Yep, that is my delemia, any insight?

what are your long term plans for the building? Will the possibility of renting a portion out and needing seperate metering arise? What about just having the meters removed and blanked off? Our poco charges 14.00 base meter charge that would be $336.00 a year so it would be several years to recoup the cost. Myself I would ask the poco if they pulled the meter would that stop the charges ours does we have strip malls that do that the downside is to get a new meter installed they have to get an inspection and meet current code so no grandfathering in.

Yep, growing fast, our new facility is going to be state of the art, can't wait to move in.

:thumbsup::thumbsup: Very happy for you.

What kind of facility will it be?
