I thought Cat 5 cable had a limitation of about 330' for a run. I was told that applys to voice but if for data it can go 1000's of feet. True?

I can send 115.2 kbaud binary data 4000 ft on CAt-5, and 8000 ft at a somewhat lower baud rate.

100 MHz Ethernet is limited to about 330 ft or 100 meters.
