Caddy Rod Lock beam clamp

Haven't seen those. Is that a set screw, tightens to hold rod in place? Does this damage threads or could the rod be moved later for some adjustment? Looks handy if it works well; fewer nuts & washers needed.

Very come use in making trapeaze supports for cable tray or conduit support.

Unistrut also has a good line of beam clamps

they are new to me. I've used the regular beam clamps many times. These have a bolt that tightens the rod in place instead of screwing in the threaded rod.

I use thread lock where I can.
Wondered how they hold up to the test of time.

Has anyone used the Caddy Rod Lock beam clamp?

If that is the Caddy SDX, which it looks like, the threaded rod pushes up into a "threaded spring type clamp". So it does not damage the threads as you would think. The bolt on the outside is secondary security. They save alot of time and are really easy, but expensive enough not to use all the time.IMHO
