I need the grounding requirements for non metallic waterlines? All I know is a ground rod, but need code article and can't find it. Thanks alot.

Sorry, but the question does not make sense. A non-metallic water pipe does not need to be grounded, and you naturally cannot use it as a grounding electrode. So please reword your question, so I can understand what you are trying to do.

grounding

my question is with the replacement of copper water lines to pvc or pex, this city wants me to show the premises grounding, will be maintained in working order. I know non metallic is not a grounding means, but would like to find an article in the code book should they ask. All I have ever done is use a ground rod. They are asking about re-grounding of systems and I feel this is unnecessary but would like to show them in the code if you feel I am correct.
Thank you very much
I hope this clarifies the question

There is no need to go any further than 2 ground rods spaced a minimum of 6' apart if there is no copper. If the line coming into the house is still copper then you must connect to within the first 5' of where it enters the building but if that is plastic also then no need. 250.52, 250.53
