How would one calculate conduit fill with combination of conductors and cable? I assume once the diameter of the cable is known then it can be calculated as a conductor?

Thanks

removed post... (I missed the fact that the question was cable orientated)

Yes and flat or elliptical cables are calculated as if they were round.

Chapter 9: (9) A multiconductor cable or flexible cord of two or more
conductors shall be treated as a single conductor for
calculating percentage conduit fill area. For cables that
have elliptical cross sections, the cross-sectional area
calculation shall be based on using the major diameter
of the ellipse as a circle diameter.

How do you derate the power conductors when you have control cables and thermostat cable in the same raceway?

Control conductors do not count towards the number of conductors for derating purposes.

Part of 310.15(B)(3)(a)...

Where conductors of different systems, as provided in
300.3, are installed in a common raceway or cable, the
adjustment factors shown in Table 310.15(B)(3)(a) shall
apply only to the number of power and lighting conductors
(Articles 210, 215, 220, and 230).
