If you were running one horizontal 500MCM MC feeder cable would you always need to rack(unistrut) it to support it or is there another method...straps:)dunce:)...probably too big for straps though. Thanks.
 
MC would need support per 330.30. If it doesn't run contrary to 330.12, I don't see why it can't be supported by and secured to a slab.
If you are talking Cu, you are looking at 5 lbs or better per foot so you need to keep that in mind when supporting.
