3 phase 200 amp to 100 amp fuse reducers

new to this fuse reducer thing,

i installed a 200 amp 3 phase fused meter main. ide like to install a 100 amp sub off this main. 1. to save on wire and conduit size and 2. eaze of pulling wire in.

can i use fuse reducers in this situation? is this what they are used for? ..if not, any other ideas to do this without a transformer?

f.y.i.....the load from sub panel might be 50 amps tops, also, its about 130 ft from the main outside , same building attach.

had to d0 120 /208 because of availability from poco at the pole...ggrrr

I would just tap and put the OCPD at the sub. 240.21(B)(5)

Same here if on a separate structure. If on same structure a little more info may be needed first.

Someday someone may see extra capacity and want to add other loads to the main, hopefully they replace overcurrent protection on this feeder if it is necessary.

Just FYI, price out those fuse reducers before you commit to that route. 200 to 100 may very well be more reasonable, but I recently needed some 400 to 200's and three of them were more than a new 200 amp disconnect. Almost made me want to go into the fuse reducer business....
