I will be installing the electrical infrastructure in a salon very soon. I was curious as to the load calc and general requirements of a typical salon with 7 stations that will have hair dryers, curling irons and other heating elements for the sake of fashion. I have never wired up a salon before. 100 amp single phase main will feed the entire complex. Roughly about 1000 sq.ft. commercial building. Not that big.

Every hair dryer on it's own circuit. I couldn't see 2 hair dryers on the same circuit.
And some good 20 amp outlets, as the 15 amp outlets won't last too long.

Who's paying? Landlord or tenant?

That said ... a hair salon will need TWO 20-A circuits at each work station. You will need track lighting at each station, as well as the general room lighting. Any area where they do nails will need an exhaust fan. Also, take the time to identify circuits at every cover plate.
