Proper use of AL conductors should be no problem. Some state run incentive programs don't allow Al wiring of the PV systems.

We did a 480 Volt, 3000-amp aluminum run for a well-known online seller's Data Center, at a very significant savings. As long as the terminations are done right, and are accessible for thermal and physical inspections, it makes good sense. They went from the outdoor padmount transformer in to the switchgear.
