The difference in cost between Cu and Al wiring for a long AC run in a large system can be many thousands of dollars, and margins are thin. What say you?

We did a 480 Volt, 3000-amp aluminum run for a well-known online seller's Data Center, at a very significant savings. As long as the terminations are done right, and are accessible for thermal and physical inspections, it makes good sense. They went from the outdoor padmount transformer in to the switchgear.
