In an Tenant's space, there is an 600 volt 200amp non fusible Disconnect Switch. Are there any issues with using different manufacturers equipment rated for the same voltage? I'd like the equiupment to bear the same labels for a professional look, but try to stay with the same supplier I lke to work with that carry other brands.

The trouble you could run into in some cases is where you need a series rating for interrupting ratings, mostly because the two different brands were not evaluated/tested together.

kwired's point makes good sense as applied to circuit breakers. Fuses though usually series-rate with all the different manufacturer's equipment.

If you must have all the same brand for a nicer look put a 200 amp main breaker panel in in place of the disconnect and go from there. As was said the use of fuses ahead of other brands of equipment should not pose a problem.

I don't think it makes any real difference short of the issues with getting the SCCR right.

I don't think having the same brands of equipment looks any more or less professional. Get the stuff that works right for the situation you have. That is truly professional.

Sometimes there is economic benefit to using all one brand, and sometimes there is economic benefit to not using all one brand. Part of being professional is being able to make that evaluation.
