i am working on a job for a homeowner who runs a daycare business from her home.
she is having her house re-sided and the workers doing the siding do not want to peice around the overhead service.
i am trying to figure out a way to feed her 125 amp main panel after the city disconnects the overhead service.
i will demo the service back to the main breaker, wire and all.
i am trying to figure out if i can feed her 125 amp panel with S.O. cord from an appropriately sized temp. power pole.
or if anyone has done this with a generator.
I know that because of her business she wants to have the hot water 30a 240v plus range40a 240v and refer, micro, general purpose lighting and receptacle outlets, energized for the period of time it takes for the siders to finish and the city to hook back up.
does anyone have any experience with this scenario?
thanks

If it is only a day or two rent a generator and some portable power cable.

If it is longer time put up a temp power pole and run a piece of SER from it into the existing panel
