Cable for burial and running in ceiling

I am feeding a sub panel in a pool house. Can anyone advise on a cable that can be buried in PVC, and run through an open ceiling in basement?

If you're running PVC conduit anyway, can you put junction box on wall and switch over from THWN to cable?

Cable with an insulated equipment ground, I think.

As referenced in the earlier replies, before selecting your conductors it would be wise to read 680.25
