Article 410.10(D) Bathtub & Shower area. May a ceiling fan be installed by a tub if the blades will be within 3 feet of the tub but above 8 feet from the lip of the tub ? Thanks

As I understand this section as long as all parts of the fan are 8' above the tub or threshold then you are okay

The key words of the requirement are no part and as Dennis stated above 8' and you're OK.
