I know I've read about some guys getting shot down for making splices in circuit panels, but I know at my code refresher course this was brought up and it was indicated that it is allowed, but sadly I didn't note down the section. The question I have is what would onne use for calculating the amount of cubic inches one has available to determine that one was within the cubic inch requirement? And if you can use circuit beaker boxes can you also splice in non-fused disconnect like the 30 A and 60 A/c style boxes? Again the question is what does one use for the cubic inch rating? It gives dimensions of the enclosure but then how much do you deduct for the lugs, tc?
