gas pump conduit ?

Am I understanding this correctly? Wiring a gas pump on a marina dock. The area extending 20' must have a seal off and before entering and at the pump (its under a wood dock so it doesn't emerge from under ground). This pipe between can have no unions in between the 2 seal offs?

A seal at the dispenser body is a must. A seal at the "far end" is also required within 10' of a stub-up.

Between the seals, if necessary, there is no problem with an explosionproof union (NOT an "Erickson") in the below grade run. See Section 514.8. Neither Exception applies to your installation as described.
