Coal Plant Classification

I'm working at a coal terminal where they unload coal from barges, move it to land and then load to ships. Does anyone know what the area classifications should be to help me understand?

IMO all depends on the area of installation. a cargo ship hull, interior enclosed room, silo storage could have a concentration of methane built up Class 1, where there is adequate ventilation such as open space exterior the fine dust could rate it in a Class 2 enviroment. Personally, If there was a boarderline decision on which to pick, I would go with the more restrictive method. Your AHJ should have some input.
