Code cycle NYC

I know they are on 2011 NYC code but what about he NEC version. Had an engineer tell me that NYC is still on 2008 NEC...

2008 NEC with local amendments.

? 27-3025 The New York City Amendments to the 2008 National Electrical Code. The following
New York City amendments to the 2008 National Electrical Code are hereby adopted as set forth in this
section. In the event of conflicts between technical provisions, the more restrictive shall apply.
Technical provisions commence on page 25.
