One thing to know, though. If it's NABCEP certification you are after, there is no training program that I know of that will turn you out fully professionally certified. You can get training from one of the facilities which are accredited by the organization, but NABCEP certification requires that you work in the industry for a while and follow one of their paths to gain eligibility to sit for their exams. The exams are proctored by NABCEP and have no connection with any training facility. They are only given twice a year and you have to get your qualifying paperwork in place 90 days in advance.

If you have time, this weekend Mike Holt is going to be live streaming the production of his solar installation DVD. The end result will be the actual DVD, but you will see the actual production of it, including any mistakes or discussion between his panel members that will not be part of the DVD that will be sold.
Not the same as going to a class and no certifications, but a good start to understanding solar.
