50AMP single phase steamer

I have a 50AMP single phase steamer for a commercial kitchen. There's no motor in it but a large element for soup. Does it need a local disconnect within sight?

IN all likelihood, it does not need a local disconnect.
There are some variables. Have you looked at 422.31, 422.33, and 422.34 ?
