I am installing a Lutron NOVA T dimmer with a Class 1 control circuit for the florescent cans in a patient care room. We will install the power 277volt for the cans in Hospital grade MC. They are connected to a normal power circuit. Do I need to install the 0-10 Volts Dc control circuit in Hospital grade MC as well? If not what wiring method is appropriate for this installation?

Thanks in advance to the help.

Best Regards

I would say yes, hospital grade MC cable or metal conduit would be required per 517.80:

Equivalent insulation and isolation to that required for the elecrical distribution systems in patient care areas shall be provided for communications, signaling, .....and systems less than 120 volts, nominal.
