I am currently going over a study guide with Q. & Ans.
One Q. is: A 60 A. subfeeder is connected to a 300 A. main feeder.
In order to properly protect the subfeeder,
1. the protective device must be installed within 1ft. of the tap
2. the protective device must be within 5ft. of the tap
3. only fuses may be used
4. only circuit breakers may be used
The answer is 2. within 5ft. However I have been unable to locate that section in the code.

Question, could it be I have outdated material I say this because there are other puzzling questions for which there seems no answers.
This study book is from the National Learning Center C-475.

Anyone ? :slaphead:

Appears to be a bad and/or outdated question. first, I dont like the term "subfeeder"; second, I dont like calling it a "60 amp subfeeder" since it is a tap; third it doesnt say if it is outside or not; fourth, none of the tap rules have a 5 foot qualification.
