When Running 6 duct bank, IN concrete. 400 feet. Is their a requirement for a Underground vault or hand holds.

Example: 1 every 200 feet.



Or a 2 conduit without concrete . Hand hold requirements. Is their a code. Or is this up to engineering.

If its only when spec'ed. ?

There is no limit imposed by the code. Many of my clients impose their own limits, and it is generally 500 feet. We are bidding on one project that will require a separation of over 1000 feet between two manholes. The limit that an engineering review might reveal has to do with cable pulling tension.
