double checking the code , am I allowed to install 12/3 armor cable for my 220 volt 20amp and use the white conductor as the control wire in nyc .this is between the blower and the condenser?:ashamed1:

Not sure about NYC but here we would use the white and tape it black as part of the 240V and use the red as the control wire.
