How do you defeat an ABB rotary disconnect switch while it is on?

The vast majority of rotary style disconnects are not intended to be defeated.
I believe this is in accordance with some NFPA79 and IEC standards.

You turn it off, open the door, and then turn it back on using a small c-wrench (all while wearing appropriate PPE, of course).
