Circuits run in front of interior window

Are branch circuits allowed to be run from a panel directly in front of a window. I think I've attached a picture.

Does the window open?

Maybe, maybe not. I'd say depends mostly on other factors and not solely on the fact the window is there. Are they subject to physical damage? Does the window open? Does it need to open? Sunlight resistance of the cables could be an issue.

And they put plywood to the right of the window as if to avoid such a situation :slaphead:

The extra 100' or so of wire to route all of the circuits that way would have cost them all of their profit on the job.
