2" Knockout, 3 MC cables

I have a 2" knockout in the back of a main panel. I have three 12/2 MC cables coming into the main panel through the knockout. How do I secure them to the panel? Normally I use something like this:



But in this case I have three MC cables.

Unless the connector is listed for 3 MC cables, you can not do it.

How about doing a nipple through the 2" and install a 6x6 Jbox behind the panel. Then install the (3) MC cables into the 6x6 j box?

It would be easier to make smaller KO's by using reducers or simply cutting your own KO's. You can get double mc cable connecotors that us a 1/2 in KO.

I would have done that but don't have space to cut additional KOs.

Never thought about it. That is a good idea.

Use a 2" ko blank and punch three 1/2" holes in it.

Will probably have to use snap-in connectors, as spacing the holes just right to get locknuts on will be difficult, if not impossible.
