The place where i work has in house electricians, which are amendment that i can not support my conduit off of any other existing conduit system (Example: using 2 mineral-lax straps and all-thread or just hanging all-thread off of and existing trapeze.) . Even though I have done this many times, and It has never bin picked out by and inspector even when easy to see.

The closest i can get to this in 300.11 2008, can anyone give me something more clear or even tell me if this is something new for 2012 or 14.

I don't see any problem with hanging a piece of all-thread off a trapeze.

When you mention 2 mini's are you hanging the first one off a piece of conduit above? Can't do that. You can hang them nose to nose starting from the first support.http://forums.mikeholt.com/showthread.php?t=150730

I agree with the others

Supporting a new conduit directly from existing strut, or existing rods that are already supporting older conduits is fine.

Supporting a conduit directly from another conduit is a violation of the posted section.

I agree with the previous comments.

Also, maybe it is a local rule or the electrician or his superiors are "the AHJ" in that complex and they have an in-house rules and regulations.
