Do you have CDs or DVDs you want to permanently erase?

Five seconds in a microwave will do the trick although it may damage the microwave. Good to know if someone is knocking at your door with a search warrant and you have an illegal copy of the NEC. :D

We have a shredder in my office that has a slot for CDs/DVDs. It shreds them into tiny diamond shaped pieces.
I suppose you could put them back together again but it would be like a jig-saw puzzle with dozens of identical pieces and no picture to go by.....

So true, phone books are much more modern ......... :p

Listen here Bob, I am probably going to be the Chief Moderator in 2015 so you better get your act together. There's already a battle going on between Harry and macmikeman for the spot of my lieutenant.

Most enjoyable video I have seen in months.

ON the subject of microwave ovens.

Microwaves destroy or denature just about everything they contact.
They are the most dangerous way to heat food ever conceived of.
Any food touched by such waves is no longer fit to eat.
Any frequency that is near 2450 MHZ, I would not want close to my body [especially my head] and there are many others that are equally dangerous.
WiFi frequencies are especially dangerous in ways that very few indeed are aware of.

I knew it, now maybe my wife will stop complaining about the Faraday cage I built around our microwave oven.

Grandkids love to watch CD go 'flash-sparkle' in the microwave, great fun.

So, all the worries about microwaves and health, ya saying I should forgo the $1500 a month for having a cell tower in the backyard?

I love my microwave. It's a great way to save time. But, being aware of the above, I only operate the controls with a 4 foot mop handle.
