Inverter GEC Connection

The PV system I am working on uses pre-fabricated skids that include two inverters, two master recombiners, and one 3-winding GSU transformer. There is a ground ring buried around this pad, with a ground rod at each corner. There is currently only a single connection to this ground ring .... from the transformer ground bus. The inverter ground busses are connected internally to the transformer ground bus as well as the recombiner ground busses.

My question is if there is a requirement for a direct connection from the inverter ground bus to the ground ring? Does 250.64(C)(2) allow this? If it makes a difference, the transformer is ungrounded-wye (inverter)//delta.

Thank you for your help.

Refer to 690.47(C)(3).

What is the output voltage and configuration of the PV system? See 250.20 and 250.21.
