Class A FA wiring

I thought the return loop was only for the the initiating devices and not the notification devices. Is this true? Thanks

Class A circuits have returns, class B do not regardless of being initiating or notification circuits.

Initiating Device Circuits (IDC's) and Notification Appliance Circuits (NAC's) can both, either, or neither be wired as Class A for a given project. IF they are wired as Class A, they will have a return loop. Otherwise it ain't Class A.
