good morning, an electrician rerouted a pipe to allow for an A/C duct. He cut pipe terminated into a Jbox, installed another jbox and used FMC to tie both boxes and continue run.The length of FMC is 1ft. long. Question. Is this permissible?. Yhank You.

As long as both boxes remain accessible it is fine to the NEC.

And the circuit must have an EGC. The FMC can be an EGC if the total length is 6 ft or less for the entire circuit and the OCP is 20 amps or less.

And it meets the supporting requirements of 348.30. Which usually states must be supported within 1ft of the box.
