The temperature range under a slab is much smaller than the temperature range for PVC in free air or in direct sunlight above a roof.

most all buildings have control joints. Under slab, I just figure, Their must be a limitation on how far pvc can be run. I feel the all ways need a Expansion. At some point . But what length is that point. 100, 200, 500?

How would an expansion joint work if embedded in concrete?

The requirement for an expansion joint is triggered by expansion/contraction of the conduit being more than ? inch in a straight run between fixed ends of the conduit. The calculation is based on the total temperature difference between the hottest and coldest exposure, and the length of the conduit. The temperature variation underground, especially under a slab (presumably of building floor) is going to be very small.
