Gutter Tap's

When running riser feeders and you have to tap the feeder in the panel "gutter" what kind of taps would you use? Would an Ilsco multi tap connector be okay?

Typical I've seen the insulating percing connectors used. But as long as you stagger them and the gutter fill is kept to a minimum you should be fine.

Joe is correct... and those insulated piercing taps can be installed on energized feeders..

One 'run' and one 'tap'.

The run would simply pass straight through the terminal that opens up.

That one connector is good for one feeder wire per one feeder tap wire.

If you have multiple sets of feeder wires (i.e. paralleled feeder), you will need to use something like the PTA Multi Tap series. Go to the page linked earlier, and navigate 'back' one level... just under the page title.
