I saved a 1000 amp GE circuit breaker from the dumpster that was replaced due to a bad trip unit. Will GE buy this back to refurbish and resell it or is it just scrap?

Probably not GE, but contact your local breaker shop and see what they will give you for it.

Not GE, I am sure, but there is a secondary market. No idea what you might get for it. One of our regulars, Zog, is in that line of business.
