9 Volt Batteries Can be Dangerous

I know that many of you may be aware of this but it is good to be reminded. On one of the forums someone mentioned that he left a 9 v battery in the back of his pickup and while driving down the road he thought someone had shot a gun. Apparently it blew up.

I guess we should save those caps that come with them. I usually just toss them but I may save them. I have those dead ones in a box for recycling and I guess I have been lucky-- that not usually dead-dead

Took me a few minutes to figure out what that was, scared the bejeebus outa me at first. It actually burned a hole in my pocket and gave me a first degree burn on my thigh.
