I know this is a little off base but can anyone direct me where to find basic code requirements for an outside air compressor room for a 5hp 3ph compressor. Im looking for safety, sound and ventilation. Im ok on electrical requirements in regards to feeder, but would like ideas as far as static electricity bonding. This will be feeding air into a commercial garage with no fuel dispensing but still would be a garage where fuel vapors can be prevalent. Any help would be appreciated.

if it is in a room separate from the garage itself, I don't know that there would be any special requirements.

insulation would normally be specified by the architect that designed the room to be in accordance with the local energy code and any extra insulation he feels might be needed to reduce sound transmission.

HVAC requirements would also normally be spec'ed by the architect.

I don't think there are any special requirements to reduce static electricity required for normal air compressors.

I don't know what safety requirements you are asking about. Are you talking about making the compressed air system safe?
