Outside Horns for Fire Alarm

Anyone ever been held to a height requirement for outside horns, fire alarm? I am not aware of any such code requirement. I'm in California, fyi. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide!
 
We require outside strobes so responding forces and locate the facility quicker. Check with your AHJ.
 
No standard height on the outside strobe. Usually located by the AHJ fire department. We deal with a lot of towns and some want the strobe over the outside hose building hydrant.
