Hi I need some help

So cables usually have capacitance. For long distance cables can this capacitance hinder the proper working of a relay? If yes then how can we prevent it?
I have been looking into it for a while but I can?t seem to get right answer for this.

Thanks

Define a control cable?

I can send 115.2 kbaud data over 4000 ft. I can send simple DC signals over thousands of feet. Note 5280 feet is 1 mile. I can send data over long distances with attenuation being the primary limitation without amplification. What were the distances between telegraph stations in the early days? What was a telegraph system other than a source voltage, a telegraph key, a cable, and a distant relay?

You have to define what you are talking about to get a useful answer.
