What Is The Point Of Having 2 Hot Wire Terminals For H Type Track lighting? (120 Volt)
I have came across an H Type track lighting terminal block with 2 hot wires of the same phase connected to the gold screws which both go back to the breaker panel.

What could possibly be the point of this? The track functions normally of course, but I am just really curious as to what possible purpose this serves when 1 hot wire from the breaker panel would serve.

Is this a two circuit track that allows independent control of two groups of lamps?
If so, the lamp fixtures will have a moveable contact to select the circuit.
In theory, this could also allow double the total wattage on the track if wired as an MWBC.
Although that is probably not allowed by the manufacturer's instructions.
