I am looking for conduit that is coiled instead of rigid. I need it to have a "slinky" like appearance. It does not necessarily have to be conduit, but it could be an actual multi-conductor SO cable. Anyone ever work with this kind of conduit/cable and/or can recommend a type for me to take a look at?

I think whatever fits your need will be a flexible cord assembly of some type, don't have any experience in selection of such products though.

It needs to be flexible, but the machine has moving parts so I would like for it to constrict as much as possible depending on machine position. If there is a lot of slack left in the cable or conduit, then it could get caught up in the machine.

You have coiled SO cord, where the cord has a permanent set akin to a coiled telephone cord.

However for moving power to moving parts on a machine, a very common approach is something called 'energy chain' or 'drag chain', essentially a flexible raceway that you arrange to guide your cables along the moving parts.

See, for example http://www.igus.com/energychains?C=US&L=en

And it looks like igus actually has products similar to your original request, eg. http://www.igus.com/wpck/3525/overview_TriflexR
