Perfectly true, but very hard to get your mind around for most people.A current source is perfectly happy if the voltage is the same. It would work just fine with superconductors with no voltage drop whatsoever.
There will be a voltage drop in the conductor between the GTI and the grid connection, but it does not play any role in setting the output current.
