I was at a building working on outside lighting and a tenant asks if I can help with getting him lights for his barber shop.
The ceiling is 10' . and the area to cover is 10 x10.
Any tips or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I was googling lighting and it seems florescent is the best choice for light coverage. Just not directly above. It causes shadows, with strip lighting being a good use of light.

Minimizing shadows is one of the best reasons to use fluorescents. If you barber wants some extra light a good fixture over the mirror would be in order.

I don't have a good reason to visit the barber shop any more, but that is the way I remember them being lit.

Usually barber shops have fluorescent above and lighting on the mirrored wall to eliminate shadow.
