The limitation is based on the box being big enough to comply with the 6X and 8X rules. If you could get 40-#2's in the box and still comply with the straight and angle pull rules then you would be code compliant.

Again there is no cu in size for larger than #6 conductors and there is not table.

If i have 1 1/4 pipe or greenfield going to my box.
So my box shouldn't be smaller than 1 1/4x6=7.5

Six times the diameter would be the minimum. It would be unusual to run a pipe to a box and just stop.
