Overhead conduit

I need run a power to a shipping container. I have a rigid steel conduit stub out from a shed (where to panel is) ~9'6" high. The shipping container is ~ 3 feet away. My plan was to run a straight piece of pipe directly across (shed to container). Are there any code rules to this? Height requirements?

Since it's 3' away you're likely not dealing with any roadways, pedestrian pathways, means of egress, etc.
You're good.

Is there anything that has to pass under it?

Be safe 12 ft

Why 12 and not 50 or 100? Maybe structure involved is not even 12 feet high? Maybe there is overhead cranes and getting too high interferes with those?

One needs to know other conditions of the location. We were told it only free spans about 3 feet. This eliminates trucks, forklifts, or other heavy duty types of traffic and mostly limits any traffic below it to foot traffic - in most instances.

There are actually multiple trailers I will be running to ranging from 3' to 5'. Also, there is a chance that pedestrians and forklift will be under it. The trailers are only 9'6" high.

Are the forklift drivers going to be driving around with their forks elevated? Are they blind? Are the pedestrians giants?

You're fine. I have done a similar install and the containers were not that tall.

I have said for years that I think they recruit forklift drivers from the figure 8 races. If you've never seen figure 8 races, you're missing out.
