Square Steel Tubing As A Raceway

Can fully welded, square, 1 inch, steel tubing be used as an
atypical raceway, for installing conductors to a Wall Sconce ?
There will be xx number of 90 degree turns.

Please provide Articles for or against.....Either from the `08,
...`11, or the `14 NEC.

Just to be argumentative if I recall correctly the code does not require That Type 1 wireway be listed so why couldn't you make your own?

We have made are own.

But a tube is not a wireway unless one side is removable.
